Sudlow Concrete Proudly Supports the 2026 WSB Care-a-Thon With a $10,000 Donation
This July, Sudlow Concrete was proud to support an Atlanta tradition that has made a difference for children and families across Georgia for more than two decades.
Sudlow Concrete contributed $10,000 to the 26th annual 95.5 WSB Care-a-Thon, benefiting the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
Held July 23 and 24 at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's Arthur M. Blank Hospital, the two-day Care-a-Thon brought together patients, families, medical professionals, Atlanta businesses and the 95.5 WSB community in support of children facing cancer and blood disorders. This year's event raised a record $2.3 million.

The money raised through the Care-a-Thon supports research into pediatric cancer and blood disorders, medical fellowships and services for patients and their families at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center.
Since the Care-a-Thon began in 2001, the event has raised more than $36 million for the Center.
A Personal Appreciation for Work That Changes Lives
For Bill, there is also a personal connection to supporting research and the people willing to dedicate their careers to difficult problems.
Bill grew up watching his father devote much of his professional life to the effort to eradicate the New World screwworm, work that ultimately had an enormous impact on agriculture and communities throughout North and Central America.
Seeing that work firsthand left Bill with a lasting respect for the researchers, doctors and other professionals who spend years tackling problems most people will never see behind the scenes.
That same respect is part of what made supporting the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center meaningful to him.
The circumstances may be very different, but the principle is simple: important progress happens because people are willing to commit themselves to work that can improve—and sometimes save—other people's lives.
